Analysis: McCook pays $8.86 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mccook Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 89.9 percent of the $100,157 the Mccook Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $8.86 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, McCook contributed $90,000 to the fund, which saw a $291 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $10,157, or 10.1 percent, in 2016.
