Analysis: Maywood pays $4.89 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Maywood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $2,425,598 the Maywood Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.89 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Maywood contributed $2,010,952 to the fund, which saw a $34,445 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $410,678, or 16.9 percent, in 2016. Another $3,968 came from other unspecified sources.
