Analysis: Lyons pays $7.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lyons Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88 percent of the $985,350 the Lyons Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lyons contributed $866,736 to the fund, which saw a $360,862 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $118,614, or 12 percent, in 2016.
