Analysis: Hodgkins pays $6.28 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hodgkins Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.3 percent of the $1,307,054 the Hodgkins Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.28 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hodgkins contributed $1,127,368 to the fund, which saw a $29,637 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $179,384, or 13.7 percent, in 2016. Another $302 came from other unspecified sources.
