Analysis: Elmwood Park pays $4.78 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Elmwood Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.8 percent of the $1,848,694 the Elmwood Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.78 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Elmwood Park contributed $1,531,210 to the fund, which saw a $77,704 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $319,991, or 17.3 percent, in 2016.
