Analysis: Broadview pays $7.33 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Broadview Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88 percent of the $1,576,217 the Broadview Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.33 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Broadview contributed $1,387,146 to the fund, which saw a $42,504 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $189,071, or 12 percent, in 2016.
