The calls in Westchester included 64 fires - 32 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 27 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $236,300 in fire loss - or about $3,692 per fire.
The department also received 523 false calls, including eight malicious calls and 515 other false calls.
The Westchester Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 29 active employees and 26 retired or inactive employees, was $1,613,263 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $25,207 for every fire in 2016.
