The price of local government: Village of Forest Park

The Village of Forest Park budget was $44.11 million for its 2015 fiscal year, or $9,053.71 per household.

That's an increase of 18.5 percent from 2014, when the village spent $37.21 million, or $7,638.30 per household.

Forest Park has 4,872 households and a population of 14,213.

Since 2001, the Village of Forest Park budget has grown by 105.8 percent, from $21.43 million. The village population has fallen 5.2 percent over the same period, from 14,995.
