River Forest Public Schools Committee of the Whole met Tuesday, March 7.

Members Present: Mr. Ralph Martire, Mr. Richard Moore, Mrs. Barbara Hickey, Ms. Stacey Williams, Mr. Roman Ebert, Mrs. Anne Gottlieb, Mr. David Latham
Administrators Present: Dr. Alison Hawley, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Mr. Casey Godfrey, Lincoln School Principal Mrs. Karen Boozeli, Director of Special Education Mr. Larry Garstki, Roosevelt School Principal
Community Present: Katie Avalos, Lincoln PTO Liaison
Kristin Bailitz, parent Annie Dwyer, parent Moselle Brotman, parent Howard Wax, Roosevelt PTO Liaison
Recording Secretary: Mr. Anthony Cozzi, Director of Finance and Facilities
Mr. Martire called the Committee of the Whole Meeting to order at approximately 7:02 p.m.
Mr. Martire welcomed visitors and invited comments from the audience. A copy of the Speakers’ Roster as well as the Attendance Roster is included in the official minutes.
It was moved by Mrs. Gottlieb and seconded by Mrs. Hickey that the Board of Education approve the agenda as presented.
On call of the roll, the vote was as follows:
Ayes: Mr. Latham, Mrs. Gottlieb, Mr. Martire, Mr. Ebert, Ms. Williams, Mr. Moore, Mrs.
Hickey
Nays: none
The motion carried.
Student Presentations
Mr. Martire introduced the following students to present current items of interest about their school building:
Lincoln - Romy Bergetz (3" grade) and Wolfie Bergetz (1" grade), Lincoln School
Education Committee Mr. Moore introduced Mrs. Boozell and Suzanne McLeese, Willard School Social Worker to give a presentation on the Social and Emotional Wellness, Learning and Supports in District 90. A lengthy Board discussion ensued.
Personnel
It was moved by Mrs. Gottlieb and seconded by Ms. Williams that the Board of Education approve the Personnel Report as presented.
On roll call, the vote was as follows:
Ayes: Mr. Latham, Mrs. Gottlieb, Mr. Martire, Mr. Ebert, Ms. Williams, Mr. Moore, Mrs.
Hickey
Nays: none
The motion carried.
Adjournment There being no further business to discuss, the Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at approximately 9:01 p.m.
