Hillside trustees approve bill pay

The village of Hillside Board of Trustees met Oct. 10 to approve bill pay.

November 8th Presidential Election are now available at the Village Hall and at www.cookcountyclerk.com.

B. October 11th is the last day to (Information Item)

register to vote in person at the Hillside Village Hall.

C. Early voting for November 8, 2016 (Information Item)

Presidential Election is October 24th to November 7th. Nearest polling places to Hillside are the Villages of Bellwood, 3200 Washington, or Melrose Park, 1000 N. 25th Avenue. Hours vary. Information in October issue of the Hillside Happenings.

D. Village offices will be closed (Information Item)

Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12, 2016, in observance of Veterans Day.

A. Approval of Federal Agreement to purchase (Decision Item)

right-of-way using CMAQ funds for Butterfield Road Project.

B. Approval of Supplemental Agreement for (Decision Item)

Engineering on Butterfield Road Project.

C. Approval of payment in the amount of (Decision Item)

$42,452.38 to Lyons-Pinner Electric Company, 650 E. Elm Avenue, LaGrange, IL 60525, for ornamental lighting and traffic signal painting for Wolf Road Project.

Halloween Festivities at the Hillside Commons on Monday, October 31, 2016. Costume judging will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the bonfire. Trick or Treating hours are 2:00–6:00 p.m.

A. Veterans reception to be held (Information Item)

Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Best Western. Refreshments and Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Invitations will be in the mail.

B. Hillside’s 14th Annual Veterans Day (Information Item)

Parade is Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. Grand Marshal is Hillside resident and WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, John W. Gore, Jr.
