At a meeting this week, the Forest Park Village Council considered an ordinance that would create a Diversity Commission.

Forest Park uses a commission form of government with the mayor and commissioners elected every four years. The council consists of five commissioners, four of whom are elected at large. The fifth commissioner is the mayor, who functions in both roles. Each commissioner is responsible for one or more village departments, with the mayor supervising all departments' functions. Each commissioner oversees or presides over one or more village boards, commissions or committees that handle various village functions.

Below is the agenda for this meeting, as provided by the council.
