Forestpark

The Forest Park Village Board will discuss a resolution to authorize the advertising of bids for the 2016 Alley Improvement Program at its next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lower Level of Village Hall.

Village Engineer Jim Amelio will provide an update on spring construction projects.

The board also will discuss a resolution to apply for a TIGER grant to replace the Harlem Avenue Bridge.

The board also will discuss a proposed ordinance to reduce the number of police sergeants from eight to seven.

Another proposed ordinance would authorize a "lite" software maintenance services agreement with American Computer & Communications to manage tele-ticket "lite" software.

The board also will consider a resolution to approve a sound and lighting-equipment contract for services at the upcoming Ribfest between the village and Sound Works Productions.

A motion will be put forth to ask the Fire and Police Commission to fill police lieutenant, sergeant and officer job vacancies.
