Bbbs

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking youths and mentors interested in participating in a new mentoring program launching this spring in Forest Park.

BBBS seeks mentors 18 or older who can commit to mentoring a young person in fifth, sixth or seventh grade for at least one year.

The program has space for 20 mentor-student pairs.

All 20 groups will meet for mentoring 6-7:30 p.m. every other Wednesday at the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd. in Forest Park. Activities will be designed by a BBBS professional and will be carried out individually among each pair.

Parents interested in enrolling their children, or adults interested in volunteering as mentors are encouraged to contact Michelle Faherty via e-mail at Faherty@bbbschgo.org or by phone at 312-207-4227.
