The River Forest Committee of the Whole laid out the village's five-year capital improvement plan at a recent meeting.
The 40-item plan includes $599,750 for fire vehicles, $465,000 for Public Works garage improvements, $482,500 for water-main replacement, $410,000 for Public Works Department vehicles and $174,250 for Village Hall improvements.
It also includes more than $332,000 in police expenditures, including $50,046 for digital in-car cameras, $71,800 for a street-camera surveillance system, $39,195 for an automatic license-plate reader and other expenses.
