Maywoodsign

The Maywood Legal, License, and Ordinance Committee will consider new liquor-license requests during its regular meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Maywood Police Department, 125 S. Fifth Ave.

The committee will consider a request from Lacey's Place for a Class M liquor license (video/cafe bistro) and a request from the Maywood Fine Arts Institute for a Class C liquor license (special event/temporary/non-village property).

The committee also will consider bids from Bennett Door and Acme Door to repair the  doors of every entrance to Maywood Village Hall, 40 Madison Street. Public Works Director John West recommends that Acme Door's $19,985.00 bid be accepted.

The committee also will consider appointing Jacqueline Fowler and Vincent Fields to the Traffic & Safety Commission, and Rolando Vallegas to the Liquor Commission, as well as reappointing Edwin Walker to a new term on the Economic Development Commission.
