The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District's board approved a $1.6 million 2016 budget at a recent meeting.
The board also approved leadership positions for 2016, including Roger Nasci as executive director, Nelson Howard as president, John Zbesko as vice president, Carol Blustein as secretary and William Zimmer as treasurer.

The North Shore Mosquito District was formed in 1927 in response to an act of the Illinois Legislature that promoted citizen organization around the cause of mosquito abatement.
