The BNSF Railroad has informed the Village of Brookfield that the Prairie Avenue grade crossing will be closed for repairs on Saturday, August 2. The closure is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
During this time, north-south traffic will be redirected to Maple Avenue. Travelers in the area are advised to expect possible delays.
"Thank you for your patience," stated the notice from the Village of Brookfield.
