The Village of Brookfield is organizing a public meeting on May 21 to discuss the upcoming Maple Avenue Resurfacing Project. The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Council Chamber of the Brookfield Village Hall, located at 8820 Brookfield Ave.

The project, scheduled for construction in 2026, involves resurfacing the roadway from 31st Street to Brookfield Avenue. It includes various improvements such as replacing sections of curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway aprons. Additionally, handicap accessible sidewalk ramps will be replaced, curb bump-outs installed at Lincoln Avenue, and defective sewer pipe sections repaired or replaced. Pavement marking and other related restoration work are also part of the plan.

The Village has applied for federal funding through a Surface Transportation program grant administered by the West Central Municipal Conference to cover 80% of the project's costs.

Residents are encouraged to attend this open house to learn more about the project's details.
