Measles cases confirmed in Cook County for the first time this year

The Chicago Department of Public Health and the Cook County Department of Public Health have confirmed two measles cases in the region. These represent the first cases reported this year in Cook County, one of which involves an adult resident in suburban Chicago.

The Cook County Department of Public Health is conducting an investigation into the suburban case. They have provided information about several public locations where exposure may have occurred. The locations are as follows:

- Aldi, located at 7235 39th St., Lyons, with exposure potential on Friday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

- Shell station at 3901 Harlem Ave., Stickney, with exposure potential on Sunday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

- Mobil station at 2945 Harlem Ave., Berwyn, with exposure potential on Monday, April 28, from 10:20 a.m. to 1 p.m.
