Jesús "Chuy" García, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 4th district since 2019, has been vocal on social media about various policy issues. García's background includes service in the Illinois Senate and the Cook County Board of Commissioners. Born in Durango, Mexico, he now resides in Chicago and holds a BA from the University of Illinois Chicago.

On March 22, 2025, García criticized the Trump administration's approach to immigration policy. He expressed his concerns via Twitter: "The Trump admin is waging war on tax-paying immigrants, while billionaires like Musk and Bezos cheat the system and wreck the country. Follow the rules, pay your dues get ICE at your door? That’s not policy, it’s cruelty."

In another tweet dated March 23, 2025, García discussed healthcare coverage under the Affordable Care Act: "With the Affordable Care Act, Democrats extended quality health care coverage and options to millions of communities nationwide, including 9 million Latinos who would otherwise be uninsured. Now, it’s up to Republicans to step up to the plate and protect the tax credits that."

García also addressed postal service issues on March 24, 2025. He stated his opposition to privatizing USPS: "I'm a hell NO on dismantling our postal service! USPS is a vital, universal service that millions of Americans rely on, especially in rural areas. Privatizing it would cut services, increase shipping costs, and put countless postal workers' jobs at risk. Trump and Musk must keep."
