Brookfield has been selected as a participant in the third cohort of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Program. This initiative aims to support communities in preparing for the increasing adoption of electric vehicles.

The program is designed to assist municipalities in planning and implementing strategies that facilitate EV infrastructure development. The focus is on ensuring that communities are equipped to handle the growing demand for electric vehicle charging stations and related services.

"Brookfield's selection into this program highlights our commitment to sustainability and innovation," said a representative from Brookfield. The community will receive guidance and resources to enhance its readiness for electric vehicles, which includes planning for charging infrastructure and addressing potential challenges.

The EV Readiness Program provides participating communities with technical assistance, workshops, and access to industry experts. It aims to create a network of cities prepared for the transition towards more sustainable transportation options.

As part of the program, Brookfield will collaborate with other municipalities to share insights and best practices. This collaborative approach is intended to foster an environment where communities can learn from each other's experiences in adopting electric vehicle technologies.

"We are excited about the opportunities this program presents," added another spokesperson from Brookfield. "It aligns with our goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting cleaner energy solutions."

The inclusion of Brookfield in this cohort underscores its proactive stance on environmental issues and its dedication to future-proofing its infrastructure against emerging trends in transportation technology.
