Proviso Township Board met June 3

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1) CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Monday, June 3, 2024.

2) ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Chase and Supervisor Corrigan.

Also present were Clerk Williams and Attorney Durkin Jr., Trustee Thomas attended the Meeting via audio conference. Lorenzo Webber, Youth Services director was present.

3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on May 15, 2024.

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Chase, and Supervisor Corrigan.

Nays: None

Absent: None

5) APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for May 16, 2024 – May 31, 2024

6) ATTORNEY’ REPORT

None

A. Supervisor’s Report – Warrants for April 2024. Handyman report for May 2024 given to Trustees for review.

B. Clerk’s Report – Birth and Death revenue reported

C. Trustee’s Report – None

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – Lorenzo Webber provided Youth Services report with highlights regarding Town Hall on Mental Wellness.

9) NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

None

B. Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Supervisor Corrigan, that the Board approve a resolution approving and authorizing the acceptance of a proposal from Lullo & Son Construction, Inc. for the emergency ventilation system repairs at the Township garage facility.

10) PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Xandi Wright from Forest Park, IL attended the meeting. Wants to discuss digital equity.

Trustee Christopher moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees adjourn the meeting at 5:51 pm.
