The Friday Night Concert Series is set to return to Kiwanis Park on June 14. The event, which has become a staple of the community's summer activities, promises a lineup of local and regional musicians.
City Parks and Recreation Director Jane Doe stated, "We are excited to bring back the concert series this year. It's a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting."
The series will feature performances every Friday night through August. Each concert will begin at 7 p.m., with food trucks available on-site from 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating.
Local musician John Smith, who will be performing on opening night, expressed his enthusiasm: "It's always an honor to play at Kiwanis Park. The crowd is fantastic, and it's such a welcoming environment for artists."
This year's lineup includes a mix of genres, from rock and jazz to country and blues. The city aims to cater to diverse musical tastes while supporting local talent.
"We've worked hard to curate a variety of acts that we think the community will love," said Doe. "Our goal is not only to provide entertainment but also to foster a sense of community spirit."
In case of inclement weather, concerts may be rescheduled or moved indoors. Updates will be provided on the city's website and social media channels.
