Due to increases in water rates from the City of Chicago, the Village of Lyons is implementing a variable water rate adjustment beginning February 1, 2024.
The new water rates are as follows:
- Residential: $59.00 per billing cycle for up to 4,000 gallons; $16.50 for each additional 1,000 gallons.
- Multi-Family: $95.00 per billing cycle for up to 4,000 gallons; $20.50 for usage between 4,000 and 49,999 gallons; $25.50 for usage of 50,000 gallons or more.
- Commercial: $150.00 per billing cycle for up to 4,000 gallons; $20.50 for usage between 4,000 and 49,999 gallons; $25.50 for usage of 50,000 gallons or more.
Garbage rates per container are as follows:
- 35-gallon container: $36.28 per billing cycle
- 65-gallon container: $45.56 per billing cycle
- 95-gallon container: $54.86 per billing cycle
