Village of Broadview President and Board of Trustees met April 15

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

I. CALL TO ORDER

The Regular Board Meeting of Monday, January 16, 2024 was called to order by Mayor Thompson at 7:37 p.m., in the Council Chambers at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL 60155.

ROLL CALL

Upon roll call by Kevin McGrier, Village Clerk, the following answered Present: Trustee(s), S. Armour, A. Senior (REM), P. Chao-Malave, J. Abraham, Mayor Thompson Absent: J. Miller, J. Shelby

There being a quorum the meeting was called to order.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO FLAG

Everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

Clerk McGrier recited the Pledge of Civility

MOMENT OF SILENCE

Everyone joined in a moment of silence in honor of the late Honorable Clerk Karen Yarbrough

Motion to table until next meeting by Trustee Senior and Seconded by Trustee Abraham Discussion: Clerk McGrier gave explanation as to why minutes should be tabled.

V. CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE EXPENDITURE (s):

GRAND TOTAL ALL FUNDS: $364,766.75 (4-10-24)

Motion to approve by Trustee Abraham and Seconded by Trustee Senior

Discussion: Trustee Abraham read the warrant list of bills over $2500. Trustee Armour had questions, answered by Mayor Thompson.

Mayor Thompson called for a motion to suspend the regular board meeting at 7:58pm made by Trustee Senior and Seconded by Trustee Abraham all were in favor.

Mayor Thompson called for a motion to reconvene the regular board meeting at 7:59pm made by Trustee Senior and Seconded by Trustee Abraham all were in favor.

Mayor Thompson explained to Trustee Armour how the bills are available for the Board members to review during the week, yet she never comes to review them, yet takes valuable time during the board meeting to ask questions.

Trustee Armour continued on with more questions, answered by Mayor Thompson.
