Proviso Township Board met Dec. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER 

The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162, on Wednesday, December 20,  2023. 

2. ROLL CALL 

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. on a roll call, and the The following responded present: Trustees Thomas, Chavez, Christopher, and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Attorney Durkin, Clerk Williams, and Assessor Zawaski.   

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees  approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on December 4, 2023. Roll Call Vote #1 

Discussion: None 

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Supervisor Corrigan 

Nays: None 

Absent: Trustee Herrell 

Motion Carried 

5. APPROVAL OF BILLS 

Trustee Christopher moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas, that the Board of Trustees  approve payment of the bills submitted for December 1, 2023 – December 15, 2023.  Roll Call Vote #2 

Discussion: None 

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Supervisor Corrigan 

Nays: None 

Absent: Trustee Herrell 

Motion carried 

6. ATTORNEY’S REPORT 

The Board must fill the vacancy for Trustee Mari Herrell within 60 days per the statute. Failure to fill within this timeframe will call for a special meeting. 

7. CLOSED SESSION 

None

8. OLD BUSINESS 

Supervisor’s Report – Warrants approved—Martin Luther King breakfast at Union Hall on Roosevelt. Tomorrow is the employee Christmas party. Please confirm your attendance. 

Trustee Thomas moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees approved the GA Warrants.

Supervisor Corrigan moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees adjourn the meeting at 5:38 p.m.
