The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on December 4, 2023. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on December 4, 2023; seconded by Alderman Sosa. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON DECEMBER 4, 2023 CARRIED
Police Chief swore in four new police officers: Bill Johnson, Alexandra Nava, Erik Cohn, and Sean Palm.
Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED
Mayor Sherwin reminded everyone the next City Council meeting is on January 8, 2024. There will be a special hearing at 6:45 regarding King Arthur #26. There is only one meeting in January.
Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-26-2023; A Resolution Authorizing an Application for the Surface Transportation Program (STP) Funding for the Rehabilitation of Wolf Road Between Lake Street and North Avenue, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-27-2023; A Resolution Authorizing an Application for the Surface Transportation Program (STP) Funding for the Rehabilitation of Northwest Avenue (South) Between North Avenue and 555 Northwest Avenue, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Ordinance O-27-2023; An Ordinance Allowing the Sale of Alcohol to be a Permitted Use in the B-1, B-2, I-1 and I-2 Zoning Districts; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the purchase of a 2024 Vactor 2100i Sewer Cleaner for $554,234.60; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
