City of Northlake Finance & Rules Committee of the Whole met Oct. 2.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The committee reviewed the minutes of the September 11, 2023 meeting. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2023 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Feldmann made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Johnson. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Straube made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Ordinance O-16-2023; An Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory to the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois (10446 Lyndale). Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened up a discussion to approve Memorandum of Agreement Between the City of Northlake and Service Employee International Union, Local 73. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened up a discussion for consideration of approval to purchase a 2023 Ford F550 Class 5 Snow and Ice Truck in the amount of $163,237.06. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened up a discussion to approve Ordinance O-17-2023; An Ordinance Amending Section 3-29-8 of the Northlake City Code Regarding the Location and Operation Restrictions for Mobile Food Vehicles. Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened up a discussion to approve Ordinance O-18-2023; An Ordinance Establishing Miscellaneous Ordinance Violations and Amending Title 5 of the Northlake City Code. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
