City of Northlake City Council met Sept. 11.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on August 14, 2023. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on August 14, 2023; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Feldmann abstained.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 14, 2023 CARRIED
Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the Public Hearing meeting held on August 14, 2023. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the Public Hearing meeting held on August 14, 2023; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Feldmann abstained.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 14, 2023 CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Urbina. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED
Mayor Sherwin noted City Council meetings are back to the regular schedule of 1st and 3rd Mondays starting on October 2nd; the Budget Meeting will be held on November 8th; the next concert is on September 13th under the gazebo; the citywide garage sale is September 22-24; Aldermen Grochowski and Feldmann thanked the City Council for the plants sent to them after their respective surgeries.
A resident asked about the city’s plans for gender neutral bathrooms in the future; a resident had a couple of complaints regarding cracked curbs and stray cats in the 1100 block of Sandra; Alderman Urbina noted there would be a fundraising carwash in the American Legion parking lot on September 23rd from 10am to 2pm.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
