City of Northlake Finance & Rules Committee met Jan. 9.

The committee reviewed the minutes of the December 19, 2022 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 19, 2022 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.
Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Ordinance O-01-2023; An Ordinance Establishing Refuse Disposal Fees for Condominium Buildings. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve the Second Amendment to Agreement Between the City of Northlake and Lakeshore Recycling Systems. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.
Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Resolution R-01-2023; A Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement Between the City of Northlake and Leyden Community High School District No. 212 Providing for the Placement of an Automatic License Plate Reader on School District Property. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann.
Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried. Mayor Sherwin noted the City is receiving a $3.2 million grant to go towards sewer lining and a MWRD grant of $361,600 towards permeable paver parking at Millennium Park.
There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
