Stars Lose in Final Game of the Season
The Dominican University men's basketball team hit the road and took on Concordia-Wisconsin on Tuesday. This was the final game of the season for the Stars.
Results:
Dominican: 68
CUW: 90
How it Happened:
-The Stars shot 34% in the first half and 33% from the three-point line.
-DU fell behind 41-31 at halftime.
-Dominican improved their scoring in the second half, making 39% from the field and kept up their 33% from three.
-CUW did a good job limiting transition offense and the Stars only had 2 fast-break points.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Daniel Nennig had a season-high in three pointers and rebounds.
-Junior Jacob Riedl struggled from the floor but still made sure to contribute and led the team in rebounds.
-Freshman Lathan Lewis came off the bench and led the team in assists.
Leading the Way:
Points: Nennig (15)
Rebounds: Riedl (9)
Assists: Lewis (3)
Steals: West and Nennig (2)
Blocks: Scott, Burel, West (1)
What's Next:
Dominican wraps up their season and ends with a 7-17 record including a 1-15 conference record.
