Stars Lose at Home to Falcons

 The Dominican University women's basketball team hosted the Concordia University-Wisconsin Falcons Wednesday night.  

Results:
Concordia Wisconsin: 76
Dominican:41

How it Happened:
-Dominican came out of the gates cold shooting 25% from the field and only 7 first-quarter points. 
-The Stars came out in the second quarter shooting 25% from the floor again, and put up 10 points.
-DU found themselves down 34-17 at halftime. 
-In the third quarter, Dominican continued to struggle shooting the ball, scoring 9 points off of 17% shooting. 
-The fourth quarter the Stars held their own scoring 15 points, for their highest scoring quarter. 

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Mariangely Velez led the Stars on the glass grabbing 12 rebounds. 
-Freshman Kameron Goodman led DU in scoring with 8 points. 
-Freshman Toni Hayes collected 3 blocks in her first game back. 

Leading the Way:
Points: Goodman (8)
Rebounds: Velez (12)
Assists: Eight Players (1) 
Steals: Coleman (2)
Blocks: Hayes (3)

What's Next:
Dominican University women's basketball team will be back in action Saturday afternoon on the road at MSOE. The tip-off will be at 4:15 p.m.
