This Game is No Secret- ERACISM: Equality, Reconciliation, Action
This Game is No Secret pays tribute the legacy of Coach John McLendon and all of the coaches who continue to follow in his footsteps.
Beginning this weekend with the Women's Basketball home event through the upcoming week of home basketball events, both the men's and women's basketball programs will be taking part in the third annual "This Game Is No Secret" event that is organized by coaches behind ERACISM, Equality, Reconciliation, Action - Coaches Inclusion Social Movement.
Both teams will be wearing t-shirts during warmups with the 5 words, "This Game Is No Secret," honoring the legacy of John McLendon. Through this initiative, we invite coaches, student-athletes, fans to have the opportunity to learn about the 1944 Secret Game in which Coach McLendon's North Carolina College for Negroes (now North Carolina Central) defeated Duke University in a game played in secrecy due to Jim Crow laws.
