Village of Franklin Park Senior Commission met July 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

Lisa Anthony called the Senior Commission meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.

Members present: Kitty Greenwood, Bernice Brown and Michael Vallone

The minutes of the June 2, 2022 meeting were reviewed by the members. Motion by Kitty Greenwood, seconded by Mike Vallone to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried and the minutes were accepted.

St. Vincent DePaul Report: In the last month there has been a lot of people needing help with rent. They have had people needing help with their utility bills and with gas for their cars to look for work.

American Legion Report: It will be a quiet month. The pancake breakfast will be held on July 24, 2o22. There is no pancake breakfast for the month of August.

Relay for Life report by Kitty Greenwood & Bernice Brown : No report. Have had no contact with the Relay for Life representatives.

Lisa reminded the members about the Street Dance on July 8th. There is Solar Power Hours program at the police station on July 13, 2022 at 6:30pm. On July 16th Cook County Animal Control will hold the free vaccines and micro chipping clinic at the police station.

The Senior Commission meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
