A Countryside teen arrested Tuesday for filming and cheering on an attack at Lyons Township High School is calling the “disorderly conduct” charge by Western Springs Police “ridiculous.”

The 14 year old made the comment Wednesday on Snapchat, according to a post obtained by West Cook News.

He said he got a “17 day suspension and more!” and called for Heavyn Washington, the 16 year-old sophomore charged with battery in the attack, to “get the justice she deserves.”

“Not only was I suspended they charged me with disorderly conduct which is ridiculous because according to Illinois law disorderly conduct, in law, is ‘intentional disturbing of the public peace and order by language or other conduct.’ which is what,” he wrote.

“(For) encouraging Heavyn (Washington) to ‘beat her ass’ i got a 17 day suspension and more which i am not obligated to share according to the school,” he wrote. “Heavyn was recently charged with a misdemeanor while (the victim) gets to live her life as if everything were normal.”

“I need justice for heavyn. LTHS has never once done anything for any other fight that has occured at school but once when heavyn beats someone up… they start doing something, just for me screaming in the video,” the post said.

A second attack by a student occurred at the school on Monday afternoon, West Cook News reported Wednesday.

“We haven’t confirmed one way or the other,” Western Springs Police Chief Brian Budds said when asked for information on the event or if it was in revenge for the previous act of violence.

Lyons Township students told West Cook News that Heavyn, an outspoken sophomore, “concocted a story that the victim was singing a rap song in the bathroom so she could have a reason to beat her up.”

The comments from the Countryside accomplice come after his arrest for recording the beating and cheering on the attack.

In video, of the attack Washington approaches the smaller victim unprovoked and repeatedly punches her in the face before grabbing her hair and dragging her across the floor.

“Beat her ass, racist ass bitch, yes!” the accomplice yelled. “Beat her ass Heavyn, beat her ass ho,” the accomplice yelled as he filmed the beating.
