City of Northlake Youth Commission met March 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

ATTENDANCE: Sheila Morgan, John Morgan Veronica Budzon ABSENT: GUESTS: Alderman Francine Patti

MINUTES OF THE February 9, 2022 meeting was approved Veronica and seconded by John.

Meeting was called to order at 4:30 by Chairman Morgan.

OLD BUSINESS:

Youth Commission spent $70 for bingo prizes. Also used the remainder of the existing stock. The Dollar Store raised their prices to $1.25 for each item. The store used to have toys in groups of 3 for dollar but due to the economy and soaring prices for the cost of goods, now items are sold singularly at a price of $1.25.

For the Easter Egg hunt, raffle tickets will be placed inside some of the eggs to redeem for a prize. There will be three Easter Egg baskets, one for each age grouping-baby to 3, 4-6, 7+

The Bingo event went well. There were 22 children and 14 adults.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Events for May and June to be determined. 2. The Youth Commission is looking for some new members.

The next meeting will be on April 13, 2022, 4:30 at City Hall.

John made a motion to adjourn the meeting; second by Veronica.

Meeting adjourned at 4:45.
