Village of Broadview Board of Trustees met Jan. 3.

I. CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Board Meeting was called to order by Mayor Thompson at 7:31 p.m., in the Council Chambers at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL 60155.
ROLL CALL
Upon roll call by Kevin McGrier, Village Clerk, the following answered Present: Trustee(s) J. Abraham, S. Armour, A. Senior(Electronically), Mayor Thompson Absent: J. Miller, P. Chao-Malave (Arrived 7:46pm Electronically) There being a quorum the meeting was called to order.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO FLAG
Everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

A. A MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS TO PROCEED WITH THE HIRING OF TWO (2) FIREFIGHTERS FROM THE FIREFIGHTER ELIGIBILITY LIST TO FILL THE VACANCIES LEFT BY THE SEPARATION OF EDWARD KNOBLOCK AND TOM FLANNERY FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Discussion: Mayor Thompson asked Chief Mills to give clarity on motion. Trustee Miller had comments regarding boots on the ground and thinking outside of the box. Mayor Thompson had further comments and noted that Officer Scalise is the Daughter of Chief Kenny and a certified candidate for officer.
