In-person winter programs for the Park District have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The programs were scheduled to begin Monday, but their start will be postponed indefinitely to comply with the state’s current COVID-19 safety rules. The in-person programs will come back when city and state officials 'determine it is safe to resume,'” according to a Park District news release, Block Club Chicago reported.
Anyone already registered for a program will be given a prorated credit. These credits can be used on future programs, the Park District said, Block Club Chicago reported.
While in-person programs are delayed, all virtual programs will continue as scheduled. The park field houses will also stay open for anyone that needs to use the restroom or for those who need to take shelter during regular park hours.
