University of Chicago Medicine is partnering with Solis Mammography in order to expand services in the Chicago area with new mammography sites in UChicago Medicine’s Orland Park and River East outpatient locations.
Solis is the nation’s largest independent provider of breast health and diagnostic services, according to coverage by Health News Illinois.
“We are pleased to expand our presence in the Chicago area, serving more women with essential mammography and breast health services,” Grant Davies, president and chief executive officer of Solis Mammography, said. “In partnership with UChicago Medicine, we are able to provide world-class breast care in state-of-the-art facilities.”
UChicago Medicine radiologists specializing in comprehensive breast care and technologists with expertise in breast imaging will be able to provide up-to-the-minute breast health practices and technologies.
“Adding Solis Mammography’s services to our River East and Orland Park locations continues our health system’s efforts to bring important services closer to where our patients live and work,” Dr. Hiroyuki Abe, a professor of radiology at the University of Chicago and chief of breast imaging at UChicago Medicine, said.
