Central Stickney Fire Protection District responded to 164 calls in 2018 - 16.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Centralickney included 12 fires - five structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $74,250 in fire loss - or about $6,188 per fire.

The department also received 152 false calls, including five malicious calls and 147 other false calls.
