Township of Proviso Board of Township Trustees met June 17.

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
2. ROLL CALL
Trustee Herrell called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. and on a roll call
The following responded present via audio conference: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez and Supervisor Corrigan. Also, physically present were Trustee Herrell, Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, and Attorney Durkin.
“I, Michael Corrigan, Supervisor of Proviso Township, do hereby declare that conducting an in-person meeting of the Township Board of Trustees of Proviso Township on June 17, 2020, is not practical or prudent, because of the Declaration of the State of Emergency issued by Governor Pritzker on May 29, 2020, due to the COVID 19 pandemic.”
Supervisor Corrigan moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas that the Board of Trustees Approve Trustee Herrell to be Chairman Pro Tem in Supervisor Corrigan’s
Remote attendance.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Trustee Herrell led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Trustee Herrell read a statement about the nature of the meeting being held partially remotely is due to the COVID19 pandemic.
4. Public Hearing on Budget & Appropriation Ordinance
Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher to open the Public Hearing on the Budget & Appropriation Ordinance.

Discussion: This is to entertain public comment on the tentative budget for the Fiscal year beginning April 1, 2020, and ending March 31, 2021. Clerk’s office published the tentative budget and received no written comments by the public. Do any board members have any questions regarding the budget & appropriation ordinance? No questions. No public participation except for Assessor Zawaski, an elected official.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Supervisor Corrigan that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes to the Township Board Meeting held on June 1, 2020.

8. ATTORNEY’S REPORT
Requirement for Annual Town meeting was pushed back due to COVID19 pandemic.
The state requires three weeks to reschedule after the law is approved.

D. Elected Officials Report – Tax bills are available on-line today. They will be mailed out on June 30th or July 1st.

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action
B. Trustee Thomas moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees Approve an Ordinance Adopting the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance of the Township of Proviso, for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2020, and ending March 31, 2021.
