Analysis: Forest Park pays $3.81 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Forest Park Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.1 percent of the $988,958 the Forest Park Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.81 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Forest Park contributed $782,007 to the fund, which saw a $10,251 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $205,077, or 20.7 percent, in 2018. Another $1,874 came from other unspecified sources.
