Q2 2019 Recap: Parolees in Broadview convicted of crimes against children

There were seven offenders convicted of crimes against children released on parole in Broadview during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Cook News.

The data shows that seven men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against children was 33. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2012, and the oldest was a 43-year-old man sentenced in 2016.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Serafin Dominguez. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2012 when he was 18 years old. He is now 25.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
