CITY OF BERWYN: Disposing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Waste For Residents and Visitors

Garbagecart

City of Berwyn issued the following announcement on April 17.

In an effort to adhere to the community health guidance for mitigating exposure to COVID-19 by Federal, State, County and local health experts, we advise use of cloth masks and recommendation of 6 feet social distancing minimum when out in public or performing essentials errands for your household or others.

It is vital you continue to use protective measures when outside, and as equally important to dispose of any plastic gloves, one-time use cloth masks properly.

If using PPE, please dispose in appropriate container (garbage can) or container marked for PPE disposal, and NOT on streets, alleys, grocery (and other essentials businesses) parking lots, park pathways, curbs, or in recycle containers.

PPE Waste Is Not Recyclable.

Please do not place in recyclable containers.
