Illinois State Senate District 24 issued the following announcement on March 4.
State Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton (D-Western Springs) released the following statement after being named Chairperson of the Senate Commerce and Economic Development Committee:
“I am thrilled to take on an active role in helping our state’s small- and medium-sized businesses grow. We’ll be working closely on legislation to create a competitive business environment that will allow entrepreneurs to expand and provide opportunities to working class families in every part of the state. Illinois is open for business as we promote a stronger economy while protecting consumers.
“Illinois is home to a variety of promising startups in the data storage, technology, and manufacturing industries; and in this new position I will work to pass meaningful legislation to ensure their success.”
