Proviso Township Board met Nov. 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1) CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

2) ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, and Attorney Durkin.

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees authorize Trustee Thomas to Attend the Meeting Electronically

3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on November 4, 2019.

5) APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for November 1, 2019 – November 15, 2019

6) ATTORNEY’ REPORT

7) CLOSED SESSION

Supervisor Corrigan moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board of Trustees recess to closed session to discuss and consider the hiring, discipline, performance and compensation of certain personnel, and matters of pending probable or imminent litigation at 5:43 pm.

RECONVENE TO PUBLIC SESSION

Supervisor Corrigan moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board reconvene the meeting to public session at 5:51 pm. On a roll call, the following responded present: Trustee Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan.

8) OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants. Legislative report given and read.

Transportation report given and read. B. Clerk’s Report – None

C. Trustee’s Report – No meeting this month for Complete Count Census

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – None

9) NEW BUSINESS

A. Supervisor Corrigan moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees Motion to Authorize the Supervisor to terminate the employment of the probationary employee who was discussed in executive session this evening
