The following actions were taken on May 22 in the House on House bill HB3405 ("gratuities-retention-prohibit"): "Placed on Calendar Order of Concurrence Senate Amendment(s", "Arrived in House", "Third Reading - Passed", "Placed on Calendar Order of 3rd Reading", "Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Adopted(Aquino", "Recalled to Second Reading", "Added as Alternate Chief Co-Sponsor Sen. Ann Gillespie" and "Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Recommend Do Adopt Labor".

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Karina Villa (D-49) on Feb. 15, "amends the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act" and "provides that gratuities to employees are the property of the employees and may not be retained by an employer," according to the General Assembly website.
