Illinois General Assembly: HB2552 Assigned to Appropriations-General Services Committee

The following action was taken on Feb. 26 in the House on House bill HB2552 ("$illinois art council"): "Assigned to Appropriations-General Services Committee."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Camille Y. Lilly (D-78) on Feb. 13, "appropriates $40,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council to distribute grants for arts-based after school programs in communities that are at or below 125% of the poverty level according to the United States Census Bureau" and "effective July 1, 2019," according to the General Assembly website.
