City of Northlake Committee of the Whole met April 1. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

The committee reviewed the minutes of the March 18, 2019 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 18, 2019 meeting; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Werba. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-09-2019; A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to Execute the 2019 Community Development Block Grant Program Year Agreements with the County of Cook, Illinois. These funds will go to the bridge at King Arthur Courts. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-05-2019; An Ordinance Decreasing the Number of Class D Liquor Licenses and Amending Section 3-3-4-6 of the City Code of the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. This is to eliminate a license for Shelby’s, as they have closed. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-06-2019; An Ordinance Increasing the Number of Deputy Chiefs of Police and Amending Section 5-1-2 of the Northlake City Code. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-10-2019; A Resolution Approving an Expenditure of Matching Funds for Improvements to Roy Avenue – MFT Section Number 18-00093-00-RS; Project No. 18H2(332); Job No. C-91-233-19 Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Alderman Straube made a motion to go into Executive Session; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

There being no further business, Alderman Patti made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
