North Riverside home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in North Riverside rose by $20,000 while total sales increased by 11.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 109 homes sold, with a median sale price of $239,000 - a 9.1% increase over the $219,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 98 homes sold in North Riverside in 2016.

The median sales tax in North Riverside for 2017 was $4,404. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,137. This marks an increase of 6.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
